If you are caring for your own lawn what are the best things to do for your lawn in winter?
There’s a common misconception you don’t need to mow your grass in winter. With our ever-changing climate conditions we still get periods of warm weather in the winter months, and above 5°C grass will continue to grow. So if your grass is still growing it’s ok to keep mowing. Just remember to stay off your grass if it’s water logged or frosty to avoid any damage.
Clear the lawn of leaves and debris regularly. A few leaves scattered here and there are fine, but a thick layer of leaves will kill grass if left uncleared.
When you’re not using it it’s advisable to get your lawn mower serviced ready for spring. Then your mower will start first time and give your grass a healthy, clean cut.
